PowerPole Goes to Work in Rural Colorado

ReechCraft PowerPole

Problem: Boss Architecture, a Denver-based multi-disciplinary design firm, is currently working on a new construction project for a remote cabin in the Rocky Mountains. Access to the tree house-like structure required a product that could work on a slope and be able to move workers and materials at a fast and efficient rate. Because of limitations due to the rural location of this cabin and difficult terrain, larger equipment was impractical to use and costly to transport. Boss Architecture had previously used a pump jack for this type of work, but that strained workers and was time consuming.

Solution: Boss Architecture installed the ReechCraft PowerPole system on this job. The highest point of the system was 40′, which is great for a PowerPole tied to the structure. Speed and ease of travel were the most important considerations to Kevin Stephenson at Boss Architecture and his team. With PowerPole, workers were able to quickly access this building’s exterior from top to bottom. The system is light enough to be carried into place by hand. The steep, uneven terrain and nearby trees and shrubs were easily worked around.

Benefits: The benefits are easy to identify! Quick installation, lightweight enough to move by hand, simple to use, safe and less strenuous for workers – the list could go on and on! “This system works very well, and allows us to travel up and down each facade with much more ease than our older pump jack setup”, said Stephenson. He continued, “ReechCraft has a good thing going with their system, and I am surprised more people aren’t using it!”

This cabin looks like a fun project in such a beautiful area! We hope to share more photos from Kevin and his team in the future! If you have a ReechCraft project and would like to be featured on our blog, email pictures and information about the project to customer.service@reechcraft.com.
